Ships do not sink because they have too many people on them. Anything that floats in or under the water could pop a hole, spring a leak or snap a bolt. What is needed is enough hands on deck to keep up the repairs. I woke up drowning again, gasping in the air as if I’d swallowed water. There was plenty of it about me. Sheets of it were sure to be falling from the sky and pounding dimpled rows into the waves. The ocean was yellow green where the light shown through the surface but here, it was black. Always. If you managed just right, it settled into a semi permanent state of elasticity and hardness that could easily traverse the deep weight of the ocean. Controls could be made for automatic and manual adjustments. A diving suit could be worn to help battle the colder areas. Kept clean and oiled, this new material could potentially last forever. Id build it â€Å"green† using recyclables and fuel. This is how I got funding, through a government grant that was promoting ways to reuse and save our planet from garbage. Luck was on my side for once and I manage to complete my work before the money dried up. I took it out into the ocean for a private and final six month long test.
